N-DUBZ star DAPPY has DUMPED the mother of his baby who I revealed beat him up.

I was given eXSclusive access to the No1 band as they made their assault on America this week.

And as we hung out in Hollywood, Dappy had something to get something off his chest.

"I'm with another girl now, she's a dancer and we're really happy," he told me excitedly.

"I'm not going to be with someone who hits me. It's not healthy. We can't be like that anymore. It's too dramatic."

He was referring to his volatile relationship with KAYE VASSELL - mum of Dappy's one-year-old son Gino - who was arrested last month after allegedly battering Dappy in an early morning bust-up.

"This doesn't affect me and my kid. I'll be the best dad," he assured me. "It had been building up for too long. I couldn't be with someone who always wanted to hit me."

Speaking for the first time about the attack, Dappy recalled: "I sat back and put my hands behind my back. She wasn't going to provoke me into doing anything.

"I was standing on the balcony and she got the phone and slammed it against my nose.

"There was a lot of blood. I shed a tear. But I would never hit back."

I can also reveal it looks like there's going to be some VERY good news for Dappy and his bandmates TULISA and FAZER in the coming days.

They wowed top US music executive LA Reid and are on the brink of being offered a career changing deal.

"We've gone from the hood to Hollywood," Dappy said.
